Job Description Position Title: Administrative Assistant
Wage: $20.00/hour
Shift: 1st
Hours: 8:00am-4:00pm Monday-Friday
QPS Employment Group is hiring an Administrative Assistant for a company in Shell Rock, IA. This is a potential to hire opportunity on 1st shift.
Administrative Assistant Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Process and manage invoices, purchase orders, and customer order forms accurately and in a timely manner
- Utilize Microsoft Office Suite, with an emphasis on Excel, for data entry, reporting, and recordkeeping
- Prepare, review, and maintain basic shipping and receiving documentation
- Greet visitors and customers in a courteous and professional manner
- Answer incoming phone calls promptly and professionally, directing inquiries as needed
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems
- Communicate effectively with internal teams to support daily operations
- Assist with general clerical tasks, including copying, scanning, and correspondence
- Support special projects and administrative initiatives as assigned
Administrative Assistant Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification preferred
- Previous administrative or office support experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Professional demeanor and customer-focused attitude
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Ability to sit for extended periods and work at a computer workstation
- Ability to perform repetitive keyboarding and data entry tasks
- Equipment used include computer, printer, scanner, copier, multi-line phone system, and standard office equipment
- Occasional overtime may be required based on business needs
- Business casual or professional office attire; closed-toe shoes required
- On-the-job training provided; company systems and process training required
